Sixty Minutes of Tunes for Sentimental Bastards
@chokedbyanangel
To me, Izzy’s loyalty, fears, and passion are both evident and mysterious to Izzy himself. These tunes all sound a bit like a sentimental bastard to me; each one reminds me of him in its own way.
Play with Fire: A Smoldering Izzy Hands Playlist

From white-hot rage to simmering spice to slow-burning loneliness—a mix for our favorite fiery First Mate. (NSFW)
The Life of Izzy Hands
@KGrantFic
This playlist conveys my sense of Izzy’s journey before the show, through season 1, and into the future. The playlist begins with “Fortunate Son” because, to me, Izzy reads as someone who went to sea because it was the only way to survive. The playlist then follows him through his years with Edward, to the end of season 1 (“Dream Girl Evil”) and then looks to a hopeful future after the pain (“Laughter Lines”).
The First Disciple
@skemcesisetlt
I feel like a very quiet member of the fandom community, so I wanted to share something that was both personal but also connected some strings of what has drawn me so near and dear to Izzy's character—expanding themes of his narrative through a medium that both articulates and expresses more than I could ever say.
Swallow Your Heart
@queermagneto
One of the primary ways I've engaged with fandom over the years is by making playlists. I start with adding any songs that really grab me and wittle it down to the songs that fit the thesis of the specific mix. Izzy's playlist is a mixture of emotions floating just below the surface, a mix for a breakup minus the lovers.
To steal Con's words, it's a mix for someone "who wants to do better, but doesn't know how."
I don't know how to love him
